FLAGSHIP supra-regional ALS centre and NATIONAL COORDINATION CENTER of the MND-NET (German Network for Motor Neuron Diseases) — hosts the central biobank and web-based eDC registry for the entire German network, spanning 25 centers and 7,000+ patients since 2012. Run by Prof. Dr. med. Jochen Weishaupt, Prof. Dr. med. Johannes Dorst, and PD Dr. David Brenner. Sees 400+ ALS patients annually outpatient plus ~400 inpatient admissions. Multi-professional interdisciplinary care with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, social services. Initiates NIV home respiration and performs PEG placement. Clinical Trial Center headed by PD Dr. rer. nat. Joachim Schuster participates in all major international drug trials. MND-NET registry contact: Kornelia Günther.
