Two-site operation (UKM Münster main campus + UKM-MHS Steinfurt) as part of the Neuromuscular Center Münster/Westphalia-Osnabrück of the German Society for Muscular Diseases (DGM). Head: PD Dr. med. Matthias Boentert (Specialist for Neurology with additional qualifications in sleep medicine and palliative medicine), who also heads the Department of Neurology at UKM-MHS. UKM site provides initial diagnostics, second opinions, electrophysiology, neuropsychological and molecular genetic diagnostics, respiratory muscle function measurement, endoscopic swallowing diagnostics, drug therapy, and palliative medical advanced care planning.
